That is pretty cool. Does anyone know what serial number they're looking for?

I received a letter form Cobalt yesterday that says the same thing as what one sees on the above website. I typed in my serial number and my address popped up. So maybe soon I'll have mine.

A class act indeed, ABoater.

Had a problem with the sun pad on my 08' 232. Called to ask if they had a cure for the pink spots that are popping up on it. They asked for pics and I sent them. Long story short they called me back and said it had too many to try to fix and was calling my dealer to authorize a new sun pad! Will take it in this winter to have the new one installed.

Now THAT is a company that knows customer service.

Emailed FLB to see if he got the letter for Baby Blue.

When you entered the info did it allow you to change the shipping address?

I didn't get a letter but entered my boat serial number (hull number starts w/ FGE) using my IL zip code (I'm pretty sure I contacted Cobalt after buying my boat used.). That failed so I tried my current zip code. Failed again. I then tried the zip code of the town where the original owner lived. Strike 3, but I guess 3rd time is a charm as it brought up an 800 # to call. I'll give them a call tomorrow. The number is 1-800-468-5764

Neat idea. Wonder who makes that cap and if it will be available on the market.

I called today because my info wasn't working on the website. frown They asked if I had received the letter. shocked Well, of course not, only letter holders are in the system. blush I think they are trying to stage this in phases to eliminate a mad rush for caps. idn I explained the info came from a message board and she understood. bow I love Cobalt service, the people answering the phones and working there are so nice. She said they'd take care of me and transfered me to someone who could help. d

Yes, they are.

My Scout dealer had a few in stock.

They've been mentioned on THT recently as well.

Good luck!

Update: Cobalt called me back and if I understood correctly the cap offer was really only intended for those purchasing boats in the past year or so and those are the owners that should have received letters. It sounds like they extended the offer even if the boat was older than a year, after receiving requests, to all those with a certain "pop-up" filler cap, but said the cap in the offer would not fit my 2000 206. At least I have my contact info updated with them now as I forgot to do that after my most recent move.

I just got off the phone with Cobalt and the new caps are only for the newer boats with the pop-up cap. Thanks Cobalt! thumb

I guess a locking gas cap is better than a bag of dog food.
