Since it's supposed to be in the low 40's in the morning, I'll be getting the propane hooked up to the fireplace, but that's about it for at least a month!

It seems as if I was just watching you launch that beast.

I will be winterizing Sept. 21 as I am having surgery for a herniated disc on Sept 26 so I will be restricted and will not be able to get it done later and I refuse to pay somebody to do it.

I WAS "just" launching the boat! Time flies when you're having fun. And as you get older, time uses a lear jet...

It is still nearly 100 degrees out here. Boating will last until October at least for me. I have pictures of boating on Veteran's Day at Lake Perris somewhere.

Close...will be done probably Saturday the 13th. Meaning this coming weekend will be the last weekend we use the boat. Well as long as our son recovers. After this coming weekend all of our weekend through the middle of October are busy with a trip to Mackinac Island, college and pro football games, throwing a neighborhood BBQ, etc.
Justified Too

Did it all myself for the first time this year....boat and SeaDoos.
Feels good to know it was all done correctly. Last year, we dodged a bullet when I discovered it was not completed properly by the marina that did it.
First time using an oil extractor and found it to be easier than I thought it may be....even got pretty lucky not spilling oil all over when removing the upside down oil filter...can someone explain why they designed it that way!?
Had a GREAT season and made lots more memories with family and friends. Although we will miss it much, it somehow seems even more special come spring when we get it all back out again.
For those of you year-rounders....we could sure use some pics over the cold months!

Those fireplaces are really ---cool!
The only place that gets hot is the vents on top, above the flame. The heat goes OUT away from the front. The top only gets warm. The sides, back, even the grate right in front of the flame, all stay nice & cool. And it heats the place up like gangbusters!
Only issue is the condensation, which hasn't been a problem in the boat...
