Sport only IMO.. not much room to load supplies for a shore boat, and you'd have to maintain careful balance in any kind of disturbance.
Looks like a fun 'cove-explorer'!

Both if you have not too much gear or are just going to shore for lunch.

Bathing Suit, warm weather, don't mind getting wet use only.

You can manage to stay dry in these things, but can easily get wet as well.

We have one very similar, the Sevylor 2800 2 person inflatable kayak. Great deal at Dick's, it must have been closeout b/c I can't find it online. It even came w/ two aluminum/plastic kayak paddles.

My wife likes it to poke around the coves near us w/ one of the kids. Nice b/c takes up much less room in the garage then a rigid kayak. It is definitely bathing suit as water drips from the paddles into the kayak as you paddle. The sightly raised seat helps a bit.

You are very low to the water obviously and stability is okay, but as mentioned balance is still a bit touchy. No sudden moves and not a lot of heavy cargo...to make you even lower. I believe stepping/climbing out of a wider dinghy/zodiac to a dock to be a much more stable experience than stepping out of one of these. Getting out at a dock is much trickier than a shore landing. 1 adult and 1 kid seems perfect. Wife and I haven't gone out together so can't say for sure about 2 adults.
