Michigan will be fine with new coach Rich and the new scheme, it sure would be nice to kick some buckeye tail this year.

It was reported that the Ohio Football Coach Jim Tressel will only be dressing 40 players for the Michigan game …the rest of the players will have to dress them selves.


Two Ohio State football players were hootin’ and hollerin’ while partying on campus when a bartender asked them why they were celebrating. The smart one said proudly that they had just finished a jigsaw puzzle and it only took them two months. “Two months?!” exclaimed the bartender. The Buckeye proudly replied, “Yeah, the box said 4 - 6 years!”


A Buckeye football player was almost killed today in a tragic horse back riding accident. He fell from the horse and was nearly trampled to death. Luckily, the manager of the Wal-Mart came out and unplugged the horse.

So I guess you guys aren't interested to hear that I am taking my 8 y.o. son to his first college football game this weekend. In Columbus. I can't wait for the season to start either.

Georgia or some other SEC team will win the National Chumpionship. USC will be involved somehow, or Ohio State (not deservedly, of course)

But my real allegience is to The Youngstown State Penguins!!!!! Go Penguins! Win the Gateway, and pray you don't play Appalachian State in the Playoffs, again!

And MarkS, its time to get some fresh air the jet fumes are getting to you. I like Michigan but I'm realistic and haven't been exposed to those fumes in quite a few years.

One nice thing about colledge football in the AnnArbor area. The ramp won't be a crowded for the home games. 100,000 lees people launching boats.

Billy, very nice on the cut and paste of my post. I never said they would be national champs, I didn't even say they would win the Big 10. I only said they would be "fine". I can't see them having a 4 win season as some have said. But I do see them winning at least 7 or 8 games and getting into a bowl. For me, this year, that is "fine".

I don't think Georgia will survive their schedule unscathed. I'm figuring on some unlikely team like Missouri or maybe even a Penn State or something weird like that to be there against the likes of Southern Cal.

Don't backtrack now Mark. You were clearly implying in your statement "National champs this year?" that you think Michigan is capable of winning it. So my response to that, and your later attempt to weasel out of your outrageous prediction, (that's the "they'll be just fine" part) is that your imagination is vivid. And I'll go one step further since you want to say I lied about your original post, "You are Nuts if you think Michigan will be fine." They won't be. How can they be? They weren't that good last year and they don't have anywhere close to the personnel to run their new coach's offense. They are an 8 win team, at best. 3rd maybe 4th in the Big Ten. Maybe an Alamo bowl? If you consider that fine, then you are one of the reasons Lloyd Carr ( and guys like John Cooper) kept his job so long. I know it's cruel to put down a coach who won the vast majority of his games, but unless you beat Ohio State, win the Big Ten, and win BCS bowls consistantly, your team is a failure. That's just the reality of big time college football, sorry.

So you can maliciously cut and paste and change my posts all you want, in retaliation. I didn't cut and paste yours, I eliminated the sentence where you talked about the weather!

Billy...come on...you can be smart at times. It is obvious Mark was not saying Michigan will win the National title. The thread title is about college football in general and not Michigan specifically. The in his first sentence he asks for predictions and then who people think will win the NT. Then he goes into how he is a Michigan fan and such.

Give us three years and we will be where we need to be. This will be a learning season. I like the change, it needed to be made.

Mark did NOT say that he thought Michigan would win the national championship, and Billy did NOT misquote Mark although I believe he misinterpreted what Mark said. There...everyone happy?

We haven't even played a game yet and everyone is pissed. Gotta love college football!
