Does any one know what brand Four Winns uses for trim tabs? Lenco, Bennett, or their own? Specifically the horizon series.

Thanks

Wish I could add them to my Horizon. Here's why I can't without a lot of glass work.

Jim,

Do you find you need them alot? Not even offered as a factory option from FW. I believe FW places them in the space next to the outdrive on the 260. Cant tell from that shot if you have enough room to add some there or not.

Well if they did it for this one I'm sure it's possible.

Sounds like you are looking newer and a little bigger than our boat. But to be honest, I have not need them yet. They were an option for our boat but the previous owner did not get them. Our boat can stay on plane as slow as 18 mph and does not lean into the wind as bad as other boats I have been on.

Truth be told, I want them more than I need them. With the occasional shifting of passengers around, or advancing throttle to bring the bow down, I do fine. I have looked at that photo Phatboy posted quite a bit, and although it's on a much larger boat, I've almost convinced myself that quite a bit of glass work was done to provide a flat area at planning hull level to mount the trim tabs to. Maybe not, but clearly a lot of glass would have to be added to my hull to do so.

I put them on my 240Horizon -- no problem -- they are inboard of the extended sponsoms. I had no issues with them on the 8ft6inch beam -- a smaller width Four Winns could be an issue. I did have to carefully place them to clear the speed pitot and the other units I have on the tramsom -- depth finder and combined temp and speed senser for Lowrance unit.
