Sorry to hear of your loss TEG.
Life is full of tough days it's nice to know you have a good family to share the burden, it makes those days easier to get through. Glad to see the strength of your family helped to make his passing "special".
TEG, Sorry for your loss. I also think that the family being together when it happened, helped with the pain that you all must have felt. The rainbow might have been him saying goodbye to you all.
As for the finger? How do you know that they all don't do it to you all the time behind your back?
I wish the best to you and yours through this tough time.
Edited here...When reading the thread topic, I was thinking boat plug or vapor lock. Not this.

Hope your wife is doing well. You now have a new job of being the shoulder to cry on and the ears to listen. My wife's mother died two days before our vacation was to start and so it has been an interesting summer.
On a lighter note: I have a few of those "the map says it is deeper here" props myself.

Like the rest of your friends on this board I wish to express my sympathies.
The rainbow and rose petals were nice.
Your father was blessed to have a family that deeply loved him, truly a blessing.
Maybe the green in the lake was a also a tribute to your Irish father....
May you live a 100 years and one more year to repent....
