Barry Paulsen (large Regal dealer in Sacramento) went under a few weeks ago. Another Regal dealer out of Fairfield is selling off their inventory at very good prices.
That one mile section or so where the Cobalt dealer is located is high-end transportation row. Land Rover, Porsche, Cobalt dealers and a few others I'm forgetting are all located side by side.
Next to San Ramon Boats (Cobalt) in Sac is Cope and Mcphetres with Four Winns, Malibu (or perhaps Mastercraft) and some of their other products.
The regal dealer in fairfield is selling of their stock since the new owners bough from Hammer Ski and Marine which was based in Petaluma. Hammer Ski used to carry Nautiquem regal and a few others. This past year, they closed their Petaluma store and I assume they sold the fairfield store because it changed names. Barry Paulson was a distributor for Regal in Norcal and also a holding yard for the regal dealers. In fact, when I did a test drive of a Regal, Hammer Ski called Paulsons and made an arrangement to do a test up at Folsom lake with them since I was going to be at Folsom anyway. It's possible the Fairfield store changed names as part of some deal with remaining owners or new name/same owners, etc. Don't know. But, I would assume with Paulsons calling it quits, the Regal distribution channels in Norcal or severely limited.
On a side note, the Marine Max store in Santa Rosa closed a few months ago. It's a shame.
