This Custom Craft from the 1960 - 1963 time frame was an object of lust by a teenage'd seabuddy back then. Put a "Tower of Power" 100 Hp on the back and one had about the coolest rig on the Bay.

You should do it if you lusted for it back then, but it looks like quite the project. The hull looks twisted in that second picture, but maybe it is just the camera angle.

go for it. there aren't nearly enough holes in the transom. actually, it's a cool looking boat.

I'm wondering why the transom was cut like that. I'm guessing all the wood inside is rotted out.

Looks like a great project to me. Depends on your handyman ability I guess.

I just saw your engine yesterday:

Only if it doesn't take away from boating time with your current vessel!

In my teenage years I had a deep lust for a Studebaker. Owning one quickly cured me of that ...

Since YOU asked, "no".

But if it is your passion, follow your heart...

I sometimes wish that I had my very first boat, a wooden 14'er back at my house.

But then I wake up from that nightmare...

This is the only boat I would consider restoring.

sb - I'll quote a country singer here, "Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers".

Leave this prayer unanswered and just cruise in your new boat. grin
