Is the market that bad? I've been watching this boat on eBay, 2002 248 Vista , and it ends very soon. 15,500 and no bids, and no reserve? I found my boat on eBay, it ended at 23,500, with no bids. Maybe the market is that bad? I've been browsing for small cruisers ever since I bought my cuddy, don't really think we'll upgrade this soon, but you never know if the price is right. There was a gorgeous 260 Sundancer, optioned out fully with a genset and a/c, that took 3 listings before it finally sold way below value.

Remember if you upgrade you might have to sell yours in the same market.

And it did not sell either...right . It is all about marketing. No mention of the engine size, if the trailer is included, heat/AC, etc. etc. etc.

$17,900 mine would be gone in no time flat. All other comparable boats are listed for 10k more than that.

I didn't know that you were already in the process of selling yours right now. What are you actually asking for it?

It MIGHT sell for that. All those other boats listed for $10k higher are smoking something. As you know...boats don't sell for asking price.

I'm not, at least not for 3 years or so. I can't sell anything that has a manufacturers warranty and replace it with something that doesn't. You know most boaters though. When do you start shopping for your next boat? As soon as you sign for your current one!

The admiral loves overnighting on the boat, which is something we didn't think she'd even be able to do.

I'll be changing careers here very shortly, and will be taking a steep pay cut for the first few years to do what I want to do. I will have a LOT more free time for boating though.

On the other end of the spectrum...this guy is WAY high.

My last boat I bought for $18,500 used it for 3yrs and sold it on Ebay for $16,500. My loan payoff was somewhere around $7,000.

My last boat I purchased for 14,900 from a dealer, and even though I paid a bit more than I should have (it was my first boat) I was able to sell it myself for 13,500 on craigslist. With how easy it is to get it financed for a LONG time, its no wonder a lot of people are upside down. I don't understand how a dealer would broker a boat priced that far out of market, and spend money on advertising it, and not sell.

No trailer, it does have A/C though.
