How many of you were out of the slips, off the trailers and out on the water with your boats this past weekend ??

It seems that more and more boats have been out around here lately, I'm trying to see if it is the same with BABC members, or not.

Okay, we took our boat out all day Saturday and all day on Sunday. It was near perfect weather.

How about you ??????

Was out from noon to 8:00pm on Saturday and 1:00pm to 7:00pm Sunday. First time this summer with perfect weather both days. What a blast!

Nope, on the trailer all weekend, but it did get a fresh coat of wax on one side.

Out for the annual air and water show Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday was short lived as the seas were angry. Overall a great weekend and I'm slowly recovering today.

Weather was perfect, but we had to much going on. Weather doesn't look to good for this upcoming weekend, but we're planning on heading out!

You know we were...we hung out together Saturday at the beach grin. What an amazing day. Small rollers on Lake Michigan and not a cloud in the sky. Water was 75 degrees inside the arms.

Here are a few shots...our son LOVES the boat and the beach thumb

Sunday we were going to head back out but I played golf instead.

We were on vacation last week, coming home last night. Spent at least parts of each day on the water. In all, probably used up about 40 gallons of fuel. We have not noticed any drop off in boat traffic on the water this summer.

We were out Saturday. Winnipesaukee was really quiet, but the weather report (and its uncanny accuracy) were surely to blame. Had a nice swim and a good lunch before the severe thunderstorms moved in. We left the anchorage well ahead of the weather, got the boat tied up and the camper canvas on to wait on the storm (which missed us by about a mile), then motored 20 miles down the lake with all the canvas up to keep out the cold air that moved in after the rain. It was actually a fun time. It was also the first time I had ever run with all the canvas up (we usually just put it all up at the dock or at anchor). I'll be doing it again for sure, it was wonderfully cozy and warm, and the reduced rearward visibility was not a big deal at all. Felt like an entirely different boat.

yup +1. Spent Thursday and Friday at the local lake. Air temp in the 90's both days.

Thursday was with a load of land lubber friends on their first time out. A great day on the water tubing and on the hook. Pics to follow if friends ever e-mail the shots.

Friday was with a friend and his kids who have been out before as well as two noobies to the boat. It was the "jinxed" trip.

First cast sent weight, bait and hook flying, never to be seen again.

Rigging up second pole and the tip breaks off.

Inflating tube and hear air rushing out. Tube has a hole in it.

After swimming at the cove, we headed in for the day and pass a Malibu with girls waving at us. You guessed it. We are so handsome they just wanted to meet us. NOT! They sucked sand into their impeller and were overheating. So we got to end the day with a tow.

But any day on the water is a good one. thumb

After doing some electrical wiring saturday, the wind died down (???) and we threw some stuff in the cooler & boat bag and headed out in the babyliner. For only the second time in 5 years we got as far south as Provo Bay, which is pretty much a whole 'nuther lake (in the circle)---

- It's about 2 miles in diameter and it's skiers dream water in there, nearly always like glass when the rest of the lake is a choppy mess, but nobody goes in because the water's only supposed to be 3 to 4 deep. We idled in about 2/3 the way, and I never hit anything or churned up any mud.

I took a bunch of pics and had autostitch make a panorama, I marked the approx. direction I was pointing--

The main lake was chock full of boats, and there was only 2 other boats I saw in here! Talk about peaceful... If only the weather would cooperate we'd love to spend a weekend in here with the big boat. But honestly, because of crappy weather the last time we were farther south on Utah Lake was 2002, the first year we got the Sun Runner...

We've doubled our fuel usage over last summer already. Friday we hit the A&W show in Chicago, and then baseball (First two games of 12 until mid oct) the rest of the weekend. We are getting out tomorrow and then hopefully Saturday afternoon again.
