Found a guy asking about these on the houseboat forum, they're supposed to help with the rocking motion of parked boats caused by waves...Sounds interesting, and in theory they should work at least somewhat...?

Never heard of 'em before, thought I'd run it by y'all... smile

Interesting idea - it would be interesting to see how much they would reduce the rocking

FR,

Once you total all the accessories up, to make the system work, it sounds expensive.

Besides, we'll miss all yer posts about the dang jetskiers above idle and the wake-maker boats above 650 rpm! wink

Interesting idea. I'd think the operative word would be "somewhat."

I have seen those before, don't know how well they work.

I've been out on a boat with something similar in swells. they keep the boat from rocking much, but also do not allow it to rise in the swell, so it kind of gets pushed around a little.

Worth a shot to try I think. Crab fishing boat use something similar to stabilize their boat while underway. So this should work too?

I guess to amplify the effectiveness some other brand mounts them further on the sides. But the appeal of the first one is being simple and cheap.

Here's another brand/design. Same concept.
