It's called alloy metallic. The stripes are silver metallic, no factory name as they were a custom choice. My painter must have had 100 different silvers to choose from.

Those are sweet looking cars. I love the Mustang.

I was over at AAI where they build them and I was told a few mules were out in the assembly area. I was told about the upcoming 2010 Mustang and how smoking HOT it looks. The official unveiling is in just over 2 months, I couldn't convince anyone to take me to see the ones that were in the plant though. I did gather enough information though to know a few new things about the 2010 car. If you like the 2007 concept car that was at the auto shows, you'll like the new one.

These 2 I took at the 2007 Detroit show.

Of course this one is a concept, but it does hold a lot of clues as to the new look that begins production the first week of February. The interior on the 2010 is suppose to be top notch and much better than the current Mustang.

Actually, the spy photos I've seen of the 2010 Mustang seem to indicate that the new interior is a bit of a dissappointment, at least to me. I like the round vents and dash assy, and it looks like the 2010 loses those pieces...

Same thing with the Challenger, the interior could be any one of Chrysler's other vehicles, no retro touch in sight to line up with the exterior.

I actually like the somewhat spartan and simple nature of the current Mustang interior... Reminds me of my 87 RX-7...

The new exterior shots do look pretty nice, and I hope I'm wrong about the interior.

What other mods have you done so far Jim P?

Only thing I have done so far is to put the Silverhorse grill insert in the lower grill. Was concerned about the large unprotected section and the potential of damage to the condensor.

I've done a bunch of things. The most significant is the painted stripes. I also did a new intake and performance tune from Brenspeed. Then a number of little dress up things sort of all over. I have the Silverhorse fuel door and rear medallion (haven't done those grill inserts yet). I did the offset from license plate. I've added some satin trim pieces in the interior and a new shift knob (not a new shifter yet).

I added HIDs to the headlights, and changed the fogs to an amber bulb. I added hood struts and got rid of that annoying prop rod. I did change the grille to the center fog light style, but I've since removed that, didn't like the look, same with the louvers over the side windows (although those rattled). I did GT500 style pedals, and had a custom plaque made for the dashboard...

Bunch of pics here:

and here:

Basically, when I get bored with this car, someone's going to get a fairly nicely customized Mustang? Of course, I've been informed that I'll be going with it.

How many miles did you have when you put on your tuner? Do I have to wait until it has a certain mileage or can I do it right away?

I think I had maybe 4k miles on it or so. Can't quite remember. I'm sure it was after the second oil change (I did the "free" one from the dealership at about 1k, and did my second where I switched to synthetic around 4k, so it was after that). The place I bought the stuff from has a great reputation and said that it wouldn't much matter. The Mustang Bullitt comes from the factory with a similar tune and intake straight from the factory, on the same motor...

Yup, the Road King left early this summer to a co-worker. It was an opportunity, he is a good friend who had been looking to buy a Road King Custom, but they stopped making them for 2008. He really liked mine, including the accessories, so I didn't take a tremendous bath on it...

I'm already looking for my next one, I'm thinking a Dyna since I haven't had one yet, I like the Low Rider and the Super Glide Custom. Probably even go used rather than new...

I'll be on two wheels again eventually, no doubt.

How's the Rocker? I can't quite warm up to the style, the front half looks like my old Deuce, and then, I just loose it... Decent to ride?

Yes, a great bar hopper. I have thrown about $5K into it to get braided lines, chrome controls, chrome calibers, new Pipes, SERT, Chrome voltage regulator, new mirrors, etc. Getting to where she is really cool looking. I just feel guilty having two bikes, so she may be on the market in the spring...or not!

The Stang is a very nice ride,, Ford did a great job on them and they fly out of the box,,a tweak here and ther and 12 second is not problem.. I saw a new Challenger on the road today, Hemi orange,, There a couple of them at dealer up the road but there are the six cylinder cars... I don't have the space in my garage now for one but the big Hemi Challenger is on the short list for me...

I could make room if someone would buy my 79 Camaro,, Black on Black on Black.. It has a 671 Diers blower motor, 550 HP. dual quads, punched out 327.. a 400 trans with a 2000 rpm stall converter and a 4:30 12 bolt.. I did a complete frame off to it in 05 and was back on road for 06,,

We also have a 71 Roadrunner,, a numbers matching unrestored survivor,, 383 4spd car, 3:55 posi Lemon Twist Yellow Black interior and vynol top.. Air grabber and go wing package with front eye browes... only 54,000 on it...

I have make room first..
