They make good wax, but I still prefer 3M. Better UV protection, and the shine does not oxidize as fast as Meguiar's. In my experience at least.

I think Meguiar's is playing catch up to 3M with this paste.
The words "The most durable protection ever" says that to me.

Meguiars tends to make pastes as well as liquids in many of their Wax products series.

Personally, I'm not all that impressed with Mequiar's stuff. Just my opinion ( wink ) but it seems to me that buying Mequiars is more of a 'status' thing, like smoking in high school-- if you're not smoking Marlboro's or Kool's, you're not right in the head.

When I had my Corvette, it started oxidizing. I tried everything from cheap-azz Turtle Wax to the best Mequiars had to offer, and every polish, wax, compound and scratch-remover in-between. The ONLY thing I found that made that paint shine: Rain Dance liquid car wax. (And I have no idea why!)

I have been told by several boat detailers, and boat builders NOT to use Carnuba based wax on boat gelcoat, After time, it will yellow the finish. Collinite and Trewax come highly recommended for shine and hard wax surface, but they both are carnuba based waxes.

Just passing this along.

$20 for 11 oz at Cabelas. As boaters, arent we all seduced by the latest snake oil claims at some point or another! Not saying that I dont like Meguiars . . I do . . but have found products a whole lot cheaper that seem to work just as well.

Cabelas is charging more than retail for M6311, I guess. Many may not yet have it priced yet. Fairly new product.

The only dissatisfied customers I have run into have tried to use FlagShip paste on a less than polished up boat. It is not a cleaner/wax. Its to go on after the boat looks sharp - to keep it looking sharp.
