I took a break from jousting with AL over electrical installations for a few hours and went down to Mission Beach with my wife and some friends.

Walked down to the breakwater at 4:00, and a lot of boats were coming in. Nothing exciting to report, just some pictures. The big guys did not look nearly as crowded as they did last time I watched them returning through the Mission Bay channel.

Maybe trim tabs would help?

Guy in the kayak was not real happy about that boat's speed and proximity.

Caught a little air...

Quite an assortment troop. Were those taken over a couple hour period, or is that waterway that busy?

If I had been in either of the boats next to the jerk in pic #3 I'd have been ticked off. What ever happened to common courtesy?

Looks like that bird's wing is touching the water.

Mission Bay is pretty busy, there. Not bad for $4+/gal gasoline.

Then he should kayak somewhere else...

What does he EXPECT to be cruising in the channel??? Dinghy's? LOL

It never ceases to amaze me when we are out in SF Bay the amount of yakkers that we see shaking their fists at boats that are up on plane in OPEN water...

Great pics!

We saw some of those same boats cruising the Bay when we spent a week in the motorhome there a few months ago. We rented a pontoon boat to cruise around in for half a day.

I'm looking forward to our next trip there in October.

Your pics make me anxious to get going...

Beautiful pics, Troop. (As usual thumb)

I just want you to know I saw the pelican in that pic. It just took some time to focus on that part. grin

Then I noticed there was even a guy in the picture as well! Wow, nice composition.

Thanks,

Nice pics. I dragging my boat to California the second weekend of September for a weekend of fishing. We plan on basing at Catalina and venturing out from there. Hope our trip looks as good as yours. (and yes I am bringing all the fuel and gas I will need from my area. Diesel for the trucks $4.05 and boat gas is $3.49, Can you say plastic barrels?) w
