After owning two Cobalts, I will have to say this boat looks like a disaster and don't understand what Cobalt was thinking on this one ??

Sorry to see that they're trying to turn back time on this model, but sure wish they would return to the strong lines of the 226/246/262.

I think this model will end up on the shelves even quicker than the 24SX did.

I kind of agree with you FormulaFanMN. These super deep designs look like they were meant for boaters who are terrified of the water!

I always say this, but the the 226 and 262 were still a current boat design wise when Cobalt decided to end the lines.

Guess I'm too partial to those lines, because they actually looked good in and out of the water, where the newer designs dont.

I do wish them well with this model and just can't believe the execution of this model.

That 26x still gives me pause! There are not many other boats on the water that are as striking!

Docklines that come up from the center of the cleats..
Many european bulids have use this feature for a couple of years..

I will reserve my opinion of the design choices until I've seen it in person and can get a real sense of the overall composition of the design. One thing I will comment on is the placement of the built in cooler and the function of the drain. On my 24sx the cooler drains into the bilge and this design appears to do the same, except near the bow. I've thought about this and wondered why they wouldn't just drain through hull. Nasty ice cold cooler water and sandwich bits draining through hull? I don't know, can't be worse than anchor locker muddy drain water through hull.

My 24sx is different and has some compromises in the design but I still love it. Many will love this new design too.

This boat needs the wood dash pkg - the multi function guages look nice.

There are 4 fully insulated, built-in coolers - on spec sheet

There is a bow lounge cushion option that completes the wrap around

I'm guessing the deck teak trim is where a deck stripe would go - above the rail

There are certain areas of this boat that look to have been "designed down", surely from a cost perspective. (flip seat supports not stainless, molded swim platform, SS arch) I agree that these components likely did not hold consumer value.

I like the trim tabs with the LED indicators - not sure if this boat needs 'em.

Really like the molded in vents at the stern.

Dig the retro to the 262 fixed helm seat and the 302 inspired lounge/sun pad/companion seat.

The interior treatments with the quilting are very nice as are the locking storage compartments.

Wood dash, GPS, SS Arch w/ bimini, 8.1 GiDP, Windlass, Bow Filler Cushion, Captains Call, Perfect Pass, swap the kicker krap for JL components, Wetsounds Pro 80's (black) off the tower and dress her in Classic Black! This boat's gonna be strong.

Love the lines of the hull in the water - reminds me a bit of my 250. But that IP/helm station..... yuk. Way too 70's for me.

Thanks for sharing the pictures! I think it looks nice on the water!! I'm a big fan of the seat/sun lounge combo. I don't know about the contrasting seat colors. But, I'd think those dark edges are going to get mighty hot in the sun. And I agree with the earlier comments about the dash being mighty plain. But, before I get ahead of myself, I'll wait to see one in person.
