Ok, got all my movies burned to DVD, can I make verbatim copies on my computer, meaning the copy will work exactly like the original? (title & chapter access, etc.)

I've copied one DVD's files to my hard drive, if I just format a new disk and burn the files to it, will it work like the original?

Or am I going to have to copy/burn an ISO-image (or whatever it's called), and if so, how?

Thanks, as usual! smile

(re)burning an image (ISO) is the best/exact duplicate way.

What disk burning program are you using again?

You probably can either rip the DVD to an image, leaving the image file on your computer forever and reburning from the image at will in trhe future or you can use the DVD copy function of your app, that will probably rip the master DVD to a temporary image file before it burns it to a new disk (and then delete the temp image).

If you're lucky, and an image file is associated with an app, you could probably right click on the image file and get some menu items to open or burn the image....

Been so long since I've copied a disk, I was trying to do this with MS crap, which don't DO crap...Found out I have some Roxio stuff on this computer, and CD Creator will burn an image. Did it, ran a test burn copy and it works just like I want!

Now I need to invest in a very large backup drive...
