This might be an obscure and trivial thing, but my son wants to buy ear buds that aren’t too expensive, have good sound quality, and has multiple size ear pieces because the standard size are too large and cause discomfort.

Can you recommend any particular model?

Apple ones! $30 and fit well (are not too big)

Just got some from Costco.com. Don't know the brand, but at $25 with three different inserts delivered they fit better than the ones that came with my Ipod or some Phillips I tried

i've tried lots of them and none will fit because my ear canals must be small, so i think it's a very personal thing and getting ones with interchangeable tips is a really good idea. btw, the wife says i don't listen to her in part because of the small ear canals. i just say "were you talking to me?"

I have a set either by Philips or Sony, i'll have to check. they came with three sizes of inserts, and they work pretty good. They do boast a bass boost, which I'm not really big on, so their boastful boost is really a drawback coming home to roost.

Not a big fan of them - hurt my ears after awhile. Bought a nice pair of Senheiser professional headphones & really like them.

Tried 'em, don't like 'em.

I owned some super-nice Shure in-ear earbuds that fit really well. They also came with a bunch of different heads for a custom fit. Some ****er swiped them from me. I replaced them with a pair of $40-dollar Sonys. They also came with several different size tips. I use what came stock and they work really well.
