Maybe. Are you going beyond the breakwater and out to the blue water?

I'm just a passenger, but I hope so.

deepv - as always with my big water boating, it will depend on conditions. I would like to hit the bait barge and then go out a ways past the breakwater (I've got a chart with some GPS "hot" spots marked) but if it is rough, I'll set the hook inside.

This past week I've driven down PCH twice and it has been FLAT!!! 2'-3' swells at 14 seconds. Breezy in the afternoon. If that is the case, I would like to try the kelp beds and deeper water. Maybe even Catalina's isthmus (just kidding?).

Hockey Family has been out before and he may know of some good spots as well. I'm easy. (Hey now, that's not what I meant. )

The Isthmus sounds like a plan to me.

I'm thinking more like 5 ~ 8 miles out, if the conditions are good. No reason to go to Isthmus unless we were looking for yellowtail. I don't think we're that serious about the fishing. Just a fun quick trip.

Yeah and a beer and lunch at the Harbor Reef.

I'm driving wherever HF points me. He knows my limitations.

I wish I could join you guys, But as Hockey Family already knows I currently have the boat in the fiberglass shop repairing the damage from my July 4th Havazoo incident.
