Last week I had mentioned in a thread about a big party on the Chain O lakes in Illinois this past saturday. I had also mentioned that the “girls gone wild “film crew was hanging around this party.

According to the paper, there were 1200 boats and 8,000 people at the sandbar. Towards the evening, the famous Blarneys Island (bar in middle of the lake) had to turn away customers because they exceeded the crowd limit.

Things were wild there and the girls did go a little wild.

But what's amazing was that the police said there were minimal issues throughout the day. They called it a huge success. There were no DUI’s. And they were looking for it. Some boat owners left their boat at Blaneys Island all night to avoid DUI’s (nice jester on the bars part).

When you consider there was 1200 boats at the sandbar where ¾’s were in deep water (cause the sandbar isn’t that big), add the liquior and party athmosphere, and no issues? WOW. I thought for sure something big was going to happen… a drowning?

This party was a huge success.

Here are some pictures. I have videos too but I don’t know how to upload those.
The pictures don’t even get close to the center of the activities cause I was too far away. My camera wasn’t waterproof so I didn’t bring it when I went for a swim.

Here’s the channel leading to the sandbar

The sandbar

Nice shots. Reminds me of Copper Canyon at Havasu on Memorial Day! Wall to wall boats. If you're in the canyon early, you're guaranteed to be there all day! No way out!

Was everyone responsible with their trash? I'd hate to see something like that turn the lake into a big garbage pile!

As far as trash, in the center, they had a junk boat with no engine. This is where everyone threw out the garbage. By the end of the day, it was full.

Thanks for the pics. thumb Looks like a huge party on the water. Not my cup of tea but to each his own. Glad it went safely.

He swims smile

This is the 1st year in awhile I haven't attended this. These events are always best attended on someone else's boat.

The people in the middle mainly setup shop for the entire weekend. Normally from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon/evening.

Wing...did you witness the GGW crew at all? From what I have heard, the GGW stuff has gone waaaayyyyyyy past girls flashing the camera. So it is normally done inside of a cabined type boat.

As far as the middle boat leaving, they made it easy because they organized aisles for emergency access. It was well organized.

Dog, I didn't see the crew, but there was plenty of flashing. Many with pasties only on the top.

I think/heard the GGW crew was only at Blarney's Island for the after party. This party is VERY well organized. There are end row markers, aisles for access, trash boats, etc. It really helps when the local authorities are helping out. I have a lot of respect for the people that put long hours into a party this size and pull it off w/o a hitch.
