In my case, with 17 of them running around, it's always a possibility with me. funny

I was at a Sea Ray Aquapalooza event today, and while perusing the docks, I saw a model like one that I used to have. As I got closer, I realized that it WAS mine!

I purchased it new back in '89. A 300DB. She still looked good. I am confident that she is on her third owner (I know the man that bought it from me sold it last year).

I hung around for a bit, but the current owner didn't show up before I had to leave.

The stories I could have told him!

At least ONE of my kids was conceived up on that flybridge! LOL blush

I bet he would have loved to hear that!!! shocked

So, anyone see any of their past "loves" on a chance meeting???

My first boat was a 22ft Catalina. I tried to sell it,but, wound up donating it. Worked out on the taxes at least. Heard from the guy who bought it from the donation place as there was some mess up with the trailer. Nice guy, gave him some of the stuff I had left over and hated to think it might get stolen while in the yard it was in..

Anyways, about six months afterwards, there it was traveling down the highway coming from the local marina. Felt good to see someone was using her again. thumb

Saw my old 03' Cobalt 226 on the lake after I traded it in, stopped and talked with the guy for a few minutes.

In 01' I bought a Bryant 182, traded it in 03'. A couple years later I get a pm from someone on this board (ScottL I think) with a link to a Boat Trader ad saying he thinks he found my old boat. I looked at the ad and sure enough, it was the boat I traded a few years back still here in Indiana. I called the guy and introduced myself and after confirmiing where he bought it (same dealer I traded it to) we chatted for a few minutes and he told how much he has enjoyed the boat and continued to take care of it as I had. It was a cool conversation.

It is a good feeling to see them on the water still, isn't it!

And I still HAVE most of my old boats...

I see my old boat all the time, sold it to a friend back in 98 or 99 and he still has it.

Ha!

Since I have 17 "previous" boats, (and two current ones), that would be a tough task for me!

Though there are a few that I wouldn't mind having again...
