Well it only took me 3 months to get this done. Is it the best one I have done...not even close. But I did not have a ton of space to work with. Also, I like things simple, hence only using the black color.

I did experiment with a little dog in the graphic. But I could not find a dog that I liked and that my vinyl plotter would be able to cut out. I went through about 25 different dog images, until I finally trashed the idea.

The "drops" were a PITA. They are only about 1" tall, so I had to hand place each drop.

I am glad it is done...and kept the original look and feel that I wanted to.

Looks and fits great.

I'm glad you dropped the little dog graphic as it would have been too much.

Nice job.

I could be wrong, but I think I recall you saying the g's represent you boats, as in 3 g's for 3rd boat now. Do they also represent the size?

HF...you are 100% correct. First boat was a 21', second was a 27' and this is 24'.

Thanks for the compliments. Like I said...it is not my best work but it is growing on me. My cruiser just had the best layout to do a cool name. Going to take it for a test drive tomorrow thumb

Nice looking, though I question your comment that you like things simple. Is that a change in your lifestyle? laugh laugh

Very nice. I really like the way you designed the water drops w/ the outline and shaded area. All solid wouldn't have contrasted as well w/ the body of the name. thumb

I like it.

It's only been 8 years, and we are getting closer to naming ours.

BTW: you mention your vinyl plotter; are you in that type of business or is this something that is common out there?

Well...it is like anything. You can buy a cheap vinyl plotter like you can buy a home photo printer. They do ok work. But for things like boat names and graphics you really want a good commercial model.

I have a low-end commercial model as I used to do boat and vehicle lettering as a way to make some extra money. Now it mainly collects dusts as I really do not do that any longer.

Hey -- like the graphic and name --

it is interesting that on my 2003 I could not put the name there -- there is a wide grab bar across there, and the fresh water washdown outlet is on the left ------- I put mine one level lower --- but I also have an extended swim platform below that -- so it still looks OK ---

Dale...they added that long ski tow eye/grab bar in 2001. So I guess I am lucky to of had enough room to add the name so big.

My wife saw it for the first time this weekend...she really liked the final design I decided to go with.
