Looks like a nice place. You would be about 30Min from the Resort. When do you think you might make it up. We might be able to do what we did last year for you if you like.

Hi Cattailspa, If we rent this place it will be from this Monday the 30th to the next Monday the 7th. Thank you for the offer! If you can do it that would be great. Expect more sticks to enjoy. We're looking around for more options but this is so last minute I don't know if we'll find anything better and have it be available.

Have any alternate recommendations? I'm ok with a decent hotel but they are all so far away.

In Huntingdon there are two that you could stay at. There is a ramp very close to town. The ramp is Snyder's. It is by the dam. The Comfort Inn looks like a nice place. That would be one option. We will be getting up on Thursday night. We will probable go right out. We are up till Monday. We will be at the spot that you meet us last year.

Not looking good for me and the 4th. Last minute deal will have to be made or a cancellation. I gave up the house for $750. We didn't have anyone coming with us and they wouldn't rent it for less than a week.

Did you try the Comfort Inn. They just built it a few years ago. If you like you can call me this weekend. I will PM you our numbers. Just about ready to leave here.

The Comfort Inn was/is booked. Raystown Resort suggested that I call mid week for cancelations. She said sometimes people will cancel due to weather.

You know the real long term solution here is that we pick up a nice cruiser say a Four Winns 348 Vista and make Raystown our summer cottage destination. d Housing would never be a problem again. It is only 3hrs away.

You can always sleep on the boat under the stars.

What about the Altoona area or State College? Keep going further away until you find something.

try the Huntingdon Motor lodge, ask for Derek and tell him Bruce told you to call, he'll do his best if he's there (his dad owns it, he runs it)

Hey bperg what about that motor lodge out toward you. I can't remember the name. They did a lot of remolding last year.

Hey Guys,

We'll be out to Raystown for a few days the week of July 21st and we're also looking for recommendations on lodging near the lake. We're also wondering if any of these hotels, etc. will have enough area for parking; my entire rig, truck and trailer, is nearly 54' long eek?

Any of these place have plenty of parking. Have you tried the Resort yet? We are taking a long weekend that week. We will be off the 21 and 22 of July. When do you think you will make it up?

Good to know about parking.

Haven't tried the resort, we assumed it would be full...I'll try.

I think we're planning on coming early on Sunday the 20th and leaving Tuesday the 22nd (I'll confirm with my wife, a.k.a. my social planner) and let ya know. We going from Raystown to Long Beach Island in Jersey...busy week crazy

Sounds like a long drive. Just leave us know. We will be probably on the water most of the time. We will probably be around 7-Points area.
