I don't know if this really applies here, but it was interesting, nonetheless. If I'm having cereal in the morning, I usually have some blueberries or mixed berries with it. Since the fresh kind are often hard to find around here, we often buy large bags of the fresh frozen berries. I typically microwave them for 30 secs to thaw them. Well, this morning, I put my bowl of frozen blueberries in the microwave. Set for 30 secs at full power. Bell dings. I open the door and there is a mosquito flying around inside the microwave! Still alive after 30 secs!

Remove the berries, set the microwave for another 30 secs. Open door, sucker is still flying! The magic time for mosquito deleto is, however, 1 min and 30 secs. I boiled its cells and denatured its proteins.
By the way, I left it in there for the Admiral.
