Having just purchased new prescription sungla$$es, I am now looking for a floating strap to keep them off the bottom of the river/lake. So far, I have determined in our pool that the spare Croakie I had is not sufficient.

Anyone have a solution that they like?

I also wear RX sunglasses. But I don't use any floater, as it would need to be big to float the weight of the glasses.

Instead, I DO use a strap to keep 'em on my head. And I make sure to take them off before jumping in the water. I've lost too many glasses in the past to forget to take 'em off.

But, if you do want some floater, there's THIS THING that may work. idn

I wear Rx sunglasses too. Try:

I kind of cheated, cause I'm cheap. You can get those foam floats for boat keys. They are a couple of inches long and oval like an oversized medicinal tablet. They have a hole in one end.

I take the leach my glasses are on and "slipknot" the float to the middle. They will float a heavy set of glasses but you won't notice the weight of the float.

The slipknot I use is to fold the leach in half and stick the fold through the eye of the float. Now take the two loose ends and slide them through the fold of the leash.

Here's an idea
The link above has the floats I used. They are in the upper left corner of the add. Oval foam floats. Comfortable, cheap and no emotional attachment. Kind of like the ladies I dated.....

Man, before Croakies(tm) came on the market, when my dad and I were sailing our Hobie 16 in AZ on Lake Roosevelt, we'd string together rubber bands to our sunglasses and attach one of these to the rubber bands. Unconventional, yes, but they floated great!

Waywego, I'm glad you posted this. I've seen a floatation device for glasses that had a small cork ball on it that looked comfortable. I've been looking for it ever since I saw it. Maybe someone on here knows where to get it.

Looking forward to BABC Raystown. Patrick will be happy to see the girls.

I have a wine cork or four lying around the bar at home, if you need one...
