Some of you may know I was a pretty accomplished golfer. In fact, I should be doing it for a living if I would have had my head screwed on straight or would have had a little guidance back in my early 20's . Growing up as a teen, Greg Norman was the man. It was after jack has his run and before Tiger. I patterned my game from watching him and even used a lot of his swing techniques.
He was pretty much my idol at this time, and then when he started to build boats...or ships now...that sealed the deal.
We he is only one shot behind at "The Open" at 53 years of age. Will he hold on...who knows. But I am rooting for him...as well as David Duval. Duval has had a tough run, mental block.
Seeing Norman on the leader board brings back a lot of memories and dreams that never came true. Those feelings are bitter sweet.
That 'blushing bride' ran him a cool $103 million settlement with the original Mrs Shark. He can afford it, though...
Pretty fair round of golf today, though. Coverage starts at 5:00 AM in my time zone---I might miss the early action!

Brits fared well, 5 in the top 10. Now when is the Ryder Cup?
I see in your link the composer didn't know the difference between a British flag and an English one. Strange how they used a British flag for the English and Scottish but an Irish flag for Harrington.

To true. Being a corrupt colonial I got really confused when they showed the same flag as you avatar on the TV reports. Thought that meant the 2nd place guy was from Sweden ....
Kelly, do you know all the flags of the 50 States if the Union? The only one I truly know is Ohio, cause I was born/raised there, and it's the only one that is actually a Pennant, not a flag.
I can't believe Norman hung on as long as he did. For drama sake, i wish he had started a little better on Sunday. But this tourney proved that "slow and steady wins the race." Congrats Mr. Harrington.

About the only "sub country" flags we could fly in the US are for Texas and the Confederacy. And the Confederate flag is now considered highly PC offensive. With 50 different state flags those get ignored for the most part. Of course another Civil War could set all this right ....
