That is the bad thing being from CO, the drive is a good 14 - 15 hours, pulling a boat. Mapquest says that it is a 12 hour drive......

Of course than you get great shots of Kansas driving....

Becuase of the terrain & the fact that it's a Corp's lake waterfront lots aren't that plentiful, at least from what I've seen in the limited ares I've been on. And, that price is just for the LOT, not with a home.

Yep it is a long drive, but well worth it. Some of those valleys (sorry hollers) between Springfield and Branson are just as bad as driving through the mounatins out here. We are going back in September and can't wait. My Uncle has his sailboat at the marina in the pics, it is quite a maze of walkways to get to his boat.

I did notice it was just for a lot. smile $50,000 for a lot on or near the water with a dock sounds pretty cheap to me though after living in California. Even in our deflated real estate environment, that's about 1/10th of what a lot with water access costs in my neighborhood. I've been giving some thought to moving back to the midwest, and prices like that are a definite incentive to do so.

I agree $50,000 for just the lot doesn't seem to bad. My parents bought a lot on Kentucky Lake and are building their retirement home there. I'm pretty sure they paid more then that. It's going to be a great place to drop off the kids for the summer smile

That is cheap. The place where my grandparents have their cottage. Crystal Lake, MI, there are a few lots people are selling of. Just for the LOT...50' of frontage by about 120' deep...start at 1/2 a mil...yes $500,000 bug_eyes

thumb Thanks for the pics. I like the pics of the Branson Bell at the dam and the Chris Craft best. Sounds like everyone had a good time. Was there much debris in the water?

no, real clear... We went South into AR area, and saw 2 pieces of drift wood in the channel. I picked one drift wood up and brought it home, for show and tell......

The trees poping out of the water by the shore is kind of spooky for a first time user of TRL, we were not sure on the exactly where the old shore line was and the flooded part, so we just stayed in the middle of each cove etc....

Yeah, but you gotta love the depth of that lake. Under the bridge (K-city bridge) it was over 200' deep. I would only get a little nervous when the water was only (yeah, only) 30 feet deep or so, but that only happened close to the dock.

Gotta' watch out for those dang islands and sand bars though.

I love the lake as well. Sorry we didnt get to meet up, but I was running late too. I didn't get in until about 9:30pm on Thursday!

Glad you liked it! smile smile smile Now keep it a secret so it doesnt become crowded!
