Who is planning on hitting the water this weekend? Are you going out to watch fireworks from the boat? Any long distance tow plans?
GW and I are taking her 92 year old mom and our next door neighbor lady out this evening. We'll head out about 8:00 to find a place to anchor and watch the fireworks. The show starts at 10:00 and lasts about a half hour. We'll sit for awhile to let all the crazies race back to the launch ramps then ease our way back to the slip.
Weather should be in the 100's today, cooling off to about 80 by fireworks time and breezes should be nil to light. Sounds perfect to me!
I hope everyone has a safe 4th Celebration!

I think we are heading out with Cobalt 200 on Lake Sammamish this afternoon. There is an on water party with a band playing from shore. They have fireworks on the lake tonight. Hopefully the weather holds....

Had been going to hook up with Lowrider, Tblerocker and Opus Yesterday and today on Table Rock Lake but had to come home due to my daughter's cat being diagnosed with cancer on Thursday. I'm bummed about not being able to have spent the time on the lake as planned, but even more bummed about the reason behind it.
No 4th of July boating for us. It will be a LATE maiden voyage for the LBS family this year. Bowline, that really sucks. I'm sorry to hear about the daughter's cat. Pet's are like people-family members. I'll keep kitty in my prayers.

Thanks LBS. He's really my daughter's pride and joy. A beautiful cat and very sweet natured. You're absoloutely correct; pets are family members. It's going to be really tough to have to come to grips with the inevitable.

We got "blown out" on the idea of taking the boat out to watch the fireworks. Winds picked up in the early evening and about 8:30, with gusts reaching about 25mph we opted not to go out on the boat.
Actually, I still wanted to but was out voted by the four ladies (GW, her mother, our neighbor and a friend of hers) who were going with me.
So we drove to the area and watched them from shore. Very nice display and a good time was had by most.

Got out today. It was pretty fun. Had the lake to ourselves most of the morning. It was about 11 feet over normal and was very difficult to get boats into the water. Most shyed away from the lake. Fine by us....
