I am thinking of cancelling the AAA service as it reimburses only $300 per incident (no milage restriction) and costs $27 per year whereas the Boat US Trailer Assist gives you $500 per incident (or 100 miles maximum) for only $10 per year.
Does anybody have this and more importantly how'd it go if you had to use it? My biggest concern is that their contract towing services might not be as good as the ones that AAA uses.

AAA actually got me towed for ZYZXX Road to Barstow a few years back when the Suburban quit on me on the way to Lake Mead. Next time I'll chose Vegas and rent a truck for the rest of the trip. I wasn't too happy with A1 All Night (Speed Demon) Towing out of Baker, that AAA set me up with, though. They're out of business now and there's only one tow shop in Baker (new name same people?). So Boat U.S. would probably use the same provider out there.

We bought the AAA RV service a little more than a year ago---and we've used it SIX TIMES since then!
Best $129 I EVER spent!

I have AAA as well, for the cars, RV and the trailer the RV is towing. Used the flat tire option just a few miles east of Blythe last year when a trailer tire blew.
The CA AAA is different than AZ AAA... we had a flat on the RV as we entered the RV park at Havasu Islander Resort. Inside dually, right side. Seems the AZ AAA will not touch the inside tire, but will change out the outside! I had to call a local service, pay cash, and send in a reimbursement request when we got back.

I just added AAA RV Option onto my AAA Plus membership. (One of my lessons learned from my recent Trailer problem).
Obviously I have no experience with that (RV) part of the service yet, but the basic AAA membershp is a no brainer for me now.
Wife had a flat, spare installed earlier this week. Truth be told, I really get my value (payback) from the membership just with hotel discounts...(AAA member rates).
(speculation only here) I'm not sure how Boat US Trailer assist, could have a more expansive network than AAA. (unless they're networked into AAA as a partner....)
P.S. If you have more 'toys' (e.g. motorcycle, camper/motorhome, etc) the RV option also covers those in the price.
I had a trailer tire blow out (Marathon, NTL) on I15 a few years back. I called AAA and they said it'd be at least an hour. I carry a floor jack and tire iron in the truck tool box. Changed that puppy out and was back on the road in about 15 minutes. The thing is, I am wondering if the BoatUS plan is any better (or even equivilant) being as it is only a $10 add-on to my membership.

I used to have Allstate Motor Club, I used it maybe once per year. But I almost always had to cough up extra money for mileage or something, and it always ended up that I spent more money paying them AND the extra than had I just paid for the actual service in the first place. I finally gave it up in 2004.
And funny thing (knock on my head) I haven't needed them or anyone else since then...

Got it, never used it. For 10 bucks, how can you go wrong? If I get a flat, I fix it and would never bother to call someone. I'll have it fixed before they arrive.
Now, if I have a major problem, my day is shot anyway; but it's nice to know that for $10 a year, I can pick up the phone and make it someone else's major problem, regardless of how long it takes for them to get to me.

dont have it...but we did have boat us - water coverage on the old boat when we were in MA. Let me say it was the best 199 investment I ever made, as we were towed in 2x the last season out there...but thats another story.
