I've just got a small bowrider with some teak on it and I want tp treat the wood. I've powerwashed it and it came out nice. But I'm not sure what to treat it with. A neighbor says linseed oil, but I don't know. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

Get the teak stuff that Coblat had packaged for them.

Meguiar's makes a great product in my opinion. Used it by the barrel on our sailboat.

Nothing exotic.

That'll bring it back. I have Teak Patio furniture we treat all the time.

The exotic stuff will add sealers and stuff I guess, but Teak Oil will simply do it....

Teak Oil is what it loses (dries out) in the first place to become ashy....

For long term good, just do what Ken said - straight teak oil. Yes, you'll have to re-do it every year or two or three, but it will be easy to do. Start adding other stuff to the mix and you may make yourself a big job down the road.

Hey thanks for all the replies guys. I appreciate it. It gives me something to go on. The guy that I bought the boat from said he stained it. So I haven't really done anything to it, but noticed this year that it was getting really black and needed something done to it. Thanks again.

My favorite teak oil is Amazons amazing gold. Just refinished mine with the Maquires kit, and I don't like the color as well as the Amazons.
Good cleaning and brightening helps. The Maquires kit did do a good job and I had their oil so that's what I used.
If you can find Amazons Amazing any cleaning/brightening products will work with it fine.
