Nice job. I hope the plastic GG can stop a rock; there doesn't seem to be much of a consensus yet about that, either way. To be sure, the plastic's a lot better than nothing.

Just so you know I did do the job. I used the plasti-dip spray and it worked beautiful! I'll post photos when I can I am just to lazy to do them lately.

I used the car to flatten the the screen! worked perfect since there is a curve in the front grill, it even rolled it a bit. I mounted from the outside. If I had my garage where I could have put it up I would have taken the front fascia off and put it behind. Since the grill is black, the average Joe will never know it was added.
I almost left it silver since the van is silver. But after looking at it for awhile it looked too tricky gay for a freaken mini van!
Photos some other time.

So you have a problem with tricky gay minivans? wink

Good to hear the Plasti-Dip worked well. Wish I'd thought of it before I did mine. If it ever needs re-done or re-painted I'll use it then.

Do post up some pics if you can!

Plasti-dip is some pretty nice stuff. I just coated my 15' anchor chain with it...who knows how it will hold up.

I made "pads" on the tops of my jack stands that I use with the boat so I can jack up the trailer without damaging the paint. I just wrapped masking tape around the tops of the stands to form a "mold" of sorts, then poured the Plasti-Dip into them, in 3 or 4 layers letting each one cure before adding the next. I did the same thing to the top of my pneumatic bottle jack. They aren't pretty, but they work great.
