Here are links to sites I have found useful in researching digital cameras.

To first see what's out there: Sites with good pages for a search of cameras by features are dcresource and B&H. One caution, review sites like dcresource don't always give realistic prices. If your search is price sensitive then use the store sites such as Beach and bhphotovideo. The caution with store sites is that they will list only the cameras that they have in stock. If you are bargain hunting for a camera that is being closed out, then start with dcresource.

To find reviews: Most sites list only their own reviews. The sites digitalcamerareview and photoxels give you a way to lookup all of the various reviews from one site. If you are comparing 2 cameras it's very important to get both reviews from the same site. As the different review sites have strong viewpoints. These sites covering all the various review sites make that lookup a lot easier.

To discuss camera selection: The forums I've found most useful are on the sites dcresource and dpreview. Arguably dcresource covers Point-and-Shoot better, dpreview for DSLR cameras. For consumer reviews there is always Amazon.

Shopping: I've listed just a few of the bigger sites, not necessarily those with rock bottom deals. Ritz is a special case. They have walkin stores in most big cities. Of course there are also the big box outlets like Circuit City and Frys Electronics. But Ritz uses the traditional sales clerks and counters setup. Which means you will not be in a tug-of-war with a wretched security cable at Ritz. Being an old coot that means a lot to me.

The term "bridge camera" gets thrown around a lot. In general this is applied to intermediate digital cameras, too advanced to be called an auto-shooter and too affordable to be called a professional camera. That still leaves a whole lot of room for interpretation. One such is that bridge cameras are simply affordable DSLR models. For that category here is an interesting Blog site -
