Fixed my starting issue and light issue, put it on the water yesterday only to discover steering is locked up. Unhooked the cable link at the back fron the transom, not with the transom so figure it must be in the cable or the slider at the end of the cable. Have no idea what these parts are called so need some help!

got the cable off and its a old ride guide cable....no longer made. so gotta upgrade to a new steering system...gonna start a new thread on that!

Any suggestions for a new system? It has(had)the rack and pinion on it...little small flat bar under the steering console.
