My Go Boating issue came in today. They had a 17' wood boat replica that could do 31 mph using electric motors. It came in single prop and two prop versions, and could cruise for hours at 8 mph. It cost (I think) $100,000 or $120,000 depending on how many props. My understanding is they used the motors that are in the hybrid cars. All things considered, it does not sound like a bad price for what you got. Way past my pocket book, but maybe it will lead to more reasonably priced runabouts for the masses.
