I always thought it was cool to have a tow vehicle that matched your boat (or vice-versa).

For example, a flame red pickup towing a red boat on a red trailer.

Too much red???

Pearl with blue boat on a blue trailer towed by a red truck here. It'd be nice, but they were bought at different times. I could have hade a red boat when I got it in 2003, but that would have cost me about 14 large more.

I'd say my boat matches my wallet more than my truck.

The Cadillac had a nicer ride when not towing (of course), but the Tundra is more sure-footed when towing, and has more power and much better brakes. We hardly ever used the Escalade's third row seat, so I have actually found the Tundra to be more useful (I put a Retrax Bed Cover on the Tundra --highly recommend to anyone looking for a good bed cover), and have not regretted making the switch from SUV to truck.

Now if I could just get the same fuel economy!!! --Tundra is around 14.1, where the Escalade was around 16.5 MPG... Granted, my driving-style is not the most fuel-efficient!

I have a black 4Runner to tow my boat, which has a sienna red sport stripe on the deck and hull. So, no, my vehicle doesn't match my boat, but then again Toyota didn't have a sienna red 4Runner either.
