I was just wondering if folks would prefer that their painted trailers' color matched the boats' color or would black or white be preferred?

I've seen some color matched trailers that look very nice, but I have also admired a black trailer.

I don't see too many white trailers under the newer boats these days.

My Sea Ray came with a black trailer and it looks fine (white boat with blue trim).

My Scout came with a galvanized trailer, so that doesn't count...

Any preferences?

Matching trailer gets my vote. Around here the trailer are all white since they don't come with the new boats.

How about Four Winns brand boats and trailers? They make their own trailers as a matched set to their boats and usually sell them as a set cheaper than one could do buying from another trailer maker with all that they include.

I have a black painted trailer, under a white boat with a black stripe. I like the looks of a matching trailer. I'm not into some of the newer trailers with the low profile tires and the in your face chrome wheels. Seems to draw attention to the trailer instead of complementing the boat on it.

I really like the combination I have with the contrasts between the black trailer, white hull and black covers.

That was one of the selling points for me. The bunks are placed on the trailer so they match up with the structure of the boat hull. Also it makes getting trailer parts a bit easier since they keep pretty decent records of what hull got what trailer.

Broke a couple of studs on the axles and the dealership had the exact replacements in stock.

I kind of like my white trailer,it is easyer to keep an I on things, like seals leaking, loose bolts that have rust stains, and the such.
besides you have to clean it more so you notice all the above be fore it gets out of hand.

would have liked the trailer to match, but when we purchased the ebbtide she didn't have an trailer, my dealer found a e-z loader (galvanized), worked out fine without the painted shine...

No paint for me, it wouldn't last in the salt water of the Gulf

My trailer matches, but kind of "backwards".

Lowrider is predominatly red, with a silver trim band and silver upholstery, red carpeting.

Her trailer is silver with a red double pinstriping so the trailer matches the accent color of the gel, and the trailer trim matches the primary gel color.

I think it looks very good this way. Match trailer color to boat trim or accent color.
