Capn Morgan Scallywag Admiral Registered: 06/21/04 Posts: 7736	Volkswagen has revived the famous 1970s three-speed banana-seat bicycle with an exact replica equipped with all the classic nostalgia-inducing features. Quote: The Bonanza's original hardware includes a shiny black three-speed gearlever console replica, hub gears and back-pedal brake, chrome steel high-riser bars and rims, Kenda tires with a white reflecting stripe — and the most important feature of them all, a black banana seat with red rally stripes. VW notes that the bike is suitable for people up to 180 pounds. For $600, I would rather rebuild an old Schwinn Pea Picker.

Ever had either of these happen? a. grabbed a handful of front drum brake with the 16" wheel turned slightly sideways on sandy street? b. dismount to a straddling position when the stick shift lever was in the 4 or 5 position?
