Hey all. Thanks to Parrothead and deepv I've located the filter. Far aft on the port side....vertically. I felt it. Is there an easy way of getting it off short of hiring a 2' tall contortionist?
Thanks again.

I don't understand. Is it an EFI drive? EFI gives you a remote filter by default, I thought.

Okay, well I bought mine used and the previous owner must have ordered it as one of the available options then.

You need to lay on top of the engine and reach down in there with a strap wrench to get the filter off, emeraldcoast.

A very good option for sure !

I took a real hard look at the 190 back in the day - nice boat - versatile for sure. I do remember that the filter and the trim pump resiviour were a little tought to get at

Yup... Usually Newport Boats will put all or most of the goodies on their showroom models, of which (back then at least), they'd have several in stock and ready to take home today.
