I don't know all the options yet.

4X4
Auto
Beige
under 30K miles.

Assuming nicely equipped, should I jump on it?

Can't comment on price since I've not really keep up with selling price on them...but, I really like our '05!

Way to expensive. I would expect 25k or so for that truck.

Let me know where you can get it for 25K. Seriously.

KBB Private Party lightly equipped puts it at a bit over $29K. Add in sales tax, etc and you come up a few grand.

I have no problem walking past and looking for something else, but out in California the prices seem to be higher.

I would expect a non-diesel 2500HD to go for 25-27 out here.

Try 30k OTD. Worst case they say no.

Kind of.

I know a guy through one of the very large dealer networks who is working with me to find the right truck at a good price.

Sorry. I forgot you're one of the west coast people. I ran KBB with a zip of 67301 and I got about 26k with the diesel for excellent private party. I call depressed market for 25k.

But you're in California, not here.

Touche.

Maybe I should move to Kansas. It seems there is disparate car pricing in California as well.

Thanks D-rod.

I do need to find out how this one is equipped. Maybe I'll keep waiting.

I know for a fact (well, i'm confident) you could walk into a dealer here with a 26.5k check in hand and walk out with an 05, maybe 06 diesel. What color would you like? LOL.

You know, for 31,500-27000= 4,500. You could fly out here, buy a truck, drive back for less than $4,500.

On second thought, I drove to Vegas from here once. That's a long drive.

On third thought, fly here, buy a truck, ship back. Pocket 2k.

Something like that would be feasible only the vehicles in Kansas had the necessary smog equipment for the west coast. I don't know that they are actually different anymore, but it used to be the smog equipment was different out here.
