Which zerk are we referring to on this thread? The one that's on the drive shaft inside the bilge area, or the one that's outside the boat, on the outdrive flush up against the transom?

Additionally, how many pumps do you guys give the grease gun on this either one since you can't see the grease coming out the back end? Basically, how much is enough?

The gimbal zerk is on the bell housing, or outdrive, flush against the transom. This time I had it open as I had pulled the drive, and I pumped a few, turned the gimbal, pumped a few, etc. until I saw new grease.

When it's closed up, I give it 5 or 6, 2 or 3 times during the season. They say you can't put too much in, but you can put it in too fast.
