Are things still getting back to "normal" down there?

No. It's still at 929 which is 2ft short of "top of flood pool" at which point it is over filled.

Opus?

Despite the water being high, the lake is actually quite nice right now. We've been out the past 2 weekends, including today. Water is relatively clear, there is still some debris floating about, so you have to watch more than normal. Water temp was 70, so it's very cool and refreshing. The Kimberling City bridge is still a bit of a challenge, not much clearance other than the 2 northern-most segments.

We're still getting enough rain to maintain 929, and there's no plan to lower it anytime soon. Folks are finding ways to get their boats in the water.

We're just happy to be able to access our dock, and enjoy some sun between rain showers!!

Razorhog described it well. The water is still high, but it's clear, and not a whole lot of debris floating. The only problem I have is getting to my place. The road is still under water. And, will be until the lake is down to at least 926.5.

I got a report from the owners of the lake house that I will be renting from. The entire back yard in under water including the fire pit. cry

I am really looking forward to this trip and hope the water level goes back down to normal.

I guess I can look at the bright side. We can go fishing while sitting on the back porch.

We are planning to be at TRL from June 28 to July 6, staying at Waters Edge Cabins and RV Resort in Kimberling City. We are putting our boat in a slip at the marina there; I beleive it is called What's Up Doc.

Never been and we are very excited. The campground says that all is working except for the primitive sites on the water are under the water now. They say they have one ramp working and that boats are on the water. I have been monitoring this site along with others as to the conditions and it "appears" to be ok, but any info would be very appreciated. We need to cancel in about a week if do not want to lose our deposits.

We have a Four Winns 244 Funship...3 other families are meeting us there to camp also.

What's Up Doc is a *great* place to slip. Normally their ramp is far too steep for us to use, but with the water being so high it might actually be a great place to launch now.

I forgot to mention that I have a plan B for Beaver Lake. Anyone have any info on Beaver Lake. Preference is TRL because there are ohter things to do for those in our group that do not want to spend all day every day on the water.

Mike, why is it too steep? Tow vehicle or your boat/trailer combo?

Just too steep for us. We launched there one time, and all 4 wheels on the truck were locked up and sliding toward the water. Needless to say, never again. But - with the water 14 feet high, it might actually be one of the best places in the area to launch.
