For example, JValich trailers his 288 Vista around...

In any case, I think Doral has the right idea keeping the Monticello model at 8'6" and offering this one as a different model, for those that don't mind buying a trailering permit for it or that simply want to keep it slipped or dry stacked most of the time.

Now that the boat is launched, Doral has updated their website.

Seems to have alot of diesel choices.

How would a boat offer both a twin 130 Hp and single 375 Hp?

Seems like a un-filled market, twin engines in an shorter boat.

I agree, and I assume Doral thinks it will be a good move too. I'm not sure why it is taking them so long to post some actual pictures of the boat, instead of conceptual drawings.

The only twins are twin diesels or 4 cyl gas engines??? Where's the twin 4.3s??

I think the whole point is that on a 26' boat, twin 4 cyl engines will be more than appropriate!

These boats are typically (almost exclusively) available from other brands as single engine.

I also understand if you get a genset, you can't get two engines, am I right?

A wide beam without twins?

The others are more narrow, 8 or 8 1/2 ft wide.

I would highly doubt that you could get the generator with the twins. I am sure it's an "either or" propostion.

Some "boat friends" we met have a '92 290 Sundancer,it's 9-something wide, they've had it for 4+ years and they tow it all over the place. Just hooks it up and goes. No one's ever noticed it's "too wide".

Doral's are one of my favorite boats, maybe they'll have one of these at the show this year? (our shows usually happen in April, might get lucky)

Wow, they really raised the platform off the water on this one, compared to all other Dorals!

Good observation, ernesto. I was suprised to see that too. Our FW has a swim platform that is almost that high off the water. This ones' got it beat though.

Good to see some pics. Funny how the boat is assemble here in Ontario where we just received another 2 feet of snow the last few days. Yet these pics are definitely in a warmer climate seeing the palm trees and all.

For anyone that want to see the video mentioned but are getting an archive access fees, here is another link.
