With the prevailing winds from the SW the boat would be better protected if it was more toward the opening of the slip. I don't get too concerned about rain. It's easy to hose the boat off and we always do that before we go out so it's clean.

The Port installed cleats but they're not really positioned right for my boat. The rules say you have to ask permission to do any installation work but we all know the saying about begging for forgiveness. Once we turn the boat around I will install some cleats and move it back in a bit.
