I would want a single axle trailer for this lenght, but it comes with a tandem.

Cheaper maintenance too. Our 22' boat has a single. I've towed at 75mph before and it stays steady.

My 19 footer on single axle tracked true, no sway. But it would get the hops on certain pavement features. The service guy at my Chap dealer said a tandem axle would fix that. Could never afford the experiment however.

I like the tandem for over-the-road, single for around-the-driveway.
