We helped our daughter by a new to her car on Nov. 30th and on Jan. 3rd a women went through a stop sign. Lucky no on was seriously hurt
She only has some bumps and bruises.

The women said she thought there was a fur way stop. I think I scared everyone there When I beat the fire dept. there, Even though is was six blocks away.

I'm glad nobody was hurt. Cars can be repaired or replaced much easier than relatives. That's what we pay our insurance companies big bucks for.

GFC I could not agree more thats exactly what I told her when she was crying. Her reply was comical She said "Why not the junk you had to work on every time I'm leave the house".She's had her last car since she got when she started driving 5 years ago. Since she's had her new one she will call me or her mom and just say "I love my new car". So I already started looking for another prism for her.

I'll tell you I had never been so scared in my life as when I toped that hill and saw the cars.
My wife is a fire dept dispatcher' so when they called 911 my daughter asked them to say who she was.

Got a direct head on view of the car?
Glad to hear she's okay. And she should be, the car isn't "that" bad. Looks like your daughter hit the brakes as she realized the other person wasn't going to stop?

I'm just happy to be here!

Scary stuff. Thank God for airbags, huh? I'm pretty sure I see in the second pic that hers went off.

Very happy to hear that everyone's okay.

las ttime I got the phone call was "Dad we just had an accident, is someone hurt, no, then what happened, well we backed out from a parking spot and hit a lady, ok I will be there" Get there and the we part was boyfriend was driving etc..
Long story short when I am running through all insurances a year or so later and asking for bids I am faced with an accident charge in my name, my car yes but I was not even close so it should not be on my driving record.... Much worse was when son calls and says he has been hit by a car on his motorcycle.. he was ok also then not a scratch...........
ANyway, the most important part is the nobody hurt and metal or plastic in Saturn can be repaired.

take it easy

I do have some straight on pics. but have to wait for the Admiral to post them, they are on her camera these pics. where from my cell.
Yes both air bags went off, I am glad she listened to me, because she is 4'11 I told her to sit as far away from the wheel as possible, her old car she was always right on top of it.
The car is totaled but the other persons insurance is tring to fight us on who's at fault, even though the police say the other omen was at fault. It makes me happy I took pics. of the intersection, We should have there answer on Thursday.
More pics. to follow.

Like everyone said, I'm glad no one was hurt. I hope your daughter gets back in the saddle soon and isn't afraid to drive.

Being so short, you may wish to find her a vehicle with adjustable pedals. I've been in plenty of cars where the short driver has the seat all the way forward and wondered what would happen if the air bag was to deploy.

Billy and Brady, I bet with 2 air bags deployed, this vehicle will be totalled.

I can imagine what a scary phone call that can be.

Looks like the car did what it was suppose to do - absorb the energy. That and airbags make for a happy ending!

The important thing is she wasn't hurt. And I'm glad to hear it.

The car can always be replaced.
