Oh man, sorry to say it, but I've drained all the water from the block, removed the battery, filled the tank with gas and stabil. The only thing I have left to do is put the cover stretcher on so the rain drains.. looks like it's over until next Memorial Day ...

Anyone else?

After the second week of Oct we start looking at the 10 day forecast to see if it is worth leaving the boat in the water any longer or not. If the extended forecast in lousy we start looking for a day to pull her out (tide/weather) and then the winterizing starts within the next week etc.

October is bringing many before winter projects to complete, so I am hauling out on the 30th. I have not been cheated this season, the weather, and desire have been a match. Being a big boy now I will winterize the first week of October. (That is if I can maintain "bigboy". ;\)

Holding out until the end of Sept, to see if we can squeeze a "fall colors" cruise in before that dreaded day.....

Then its time to "de-summerize" the snowblower

How many times do I have to say this, "No questions about winterization until October!"
And you, in CA, you should really be embarassed to be asking! I'm in Illinois, and not only won't I winterize for at least a month, my boat is still in the water, and I'll be using it this weekend and beyond!

Shame on you Nu2BoatN!!

I'm just happy to be here!

Dropped it off at the dealer Saturday for winterization. Daughters basketball has weekends full until May next year so no use putting it off.

I won't until mid Oct. Until then, I drain the water after each use.

I wasn't planning on it until Mid-Oct, but everyone that wanted to keep boating, doesn't want to boat now. I think she's coming out in the next couple weekends.

I thought there would be a couple more local weekend day trips to Silverwood, but looking at our calendar, we have some events coming up that really squeeze the weekends, and the kids are working on weekends we're not doing something!

BillyB, sorry about this topic... someone had to bring it up and since I'm unemployed, broke, and getting real bitter about life, I thought I'd share my pain!!!!

Done and done. The kids keep us too busy after school starts, keeps getting dark earlier and earlier. Sad but true.

Crazy! Nu2- its still over 90 degrees in Riverside! We are in Riverside, I think we won't be winterizing this year, but maybe because its a new boat and we like to fish.

Boating by 11:30....see, you have to work with what you have!
