Have truck now, can get serious about boat.Like to walk in and find a 21 ftr w/ 5.7 SX or Bravo drive. The Bryant has a 350 mag / alpha. The 4Winns has a 5.0 SX .May wait till Chicago show and order the boat I want with the preseason deals.Probably Bryant.
The 08 dash w/ column shift is a BIG improvement.Very comfortable ride.Wife really likes it.Long bed crewcab perfect for family. Tows 9500??? I wouldn't do it.But the boats Im looking at are around 4500-5000 lbs, POC.

Glad you like the truck.
Would a 1997 Chaparral 2135 (cuddy) with a 280hp 5.7 and B3 be something you'd like to pull behind it????

My uncle has a Titan, '05 I believe it is. Bought it to pull his 31' 5th wheel from NY to Tampa, FL. Every time I ask him how he likes the truck, he tells me about how much he loves it --- especially the powertrain. I think you'll be quite happy with it.

I've got a bit over 30K on my '04. I love it. If something catastrophic should happen to this one, I will replace it with another Titan. The powertrain is amazing.

Only issue is engine oil leak when brought home.Appears left valve cover gasket (I hope). D-Rod,I will probably order a boat with 5.7 SX or B1.

LILGUY - Oil leaks are rare.....I had one w/a column shift a while ago......I do like it better than the floor shifter.....

Anybody had any experience with a Tundra?

I'm negotiating on a CrewMax Limited, 5.7L.

I drove one, wow. Nice truck. You could sublet the backseat to a small country, my wife LOVED the way it reclines and slides. Lots of power. Very short bed. I don't like the dash--the stereo area... it's got some sort of identity crisis happening with the 80's looking high-gloss black and the pseudo-tech silver/brushed aluminum look. And then there's that sticker shock to go with it....

I did this instead:

That's exactly like me. My wife and I test drove the Tundras back in March/April of this year. Really liked them, looked at the price tag, thought about "teething" problems with a new model and bought an 05 Titan LE crewcab for the price of a stripped down 4.7l Tundra. LOVE the powertrain of the Titan. Tows our boat with no problems, and tows our triple PWC trailer with no problems and still gets 16 mpg while towing the PWC trailer.
The boat trailer, well we get closer to 10-12 mpg, but we're always loaded down with stuff and have 4-6 people in the cab so I guess I shouldn't really complain too much about the mileage. \:\)
