I get several e-mails daily from various Email Daemons informing of "Fatal Errors" with a delivery.

Many of you have it set in your profile to have the board send you an e-mail to notify of a new private message, or you have selected to have the board notify of a new posting to a topic that you are tracking.

If the address is not valid, they get kicked back as undeliverable.

So this is a reminder that it is a condition of using this board to maintain a valid e-mail address. Be assured that we DO NOT give them out to anyone for any reason short of a valid court order, which has yet to happen.

Also, you need to do this if you want to actually receive the e-mails you have asked the board to send you.

When you update your address, the board will log you out, reset your password and send an e-mail to this new address with the new password. This is to verify that the address is a valid one. Once you log back in with the new password, you can set it to anything you like by editing your profile.

Just checked and mine is Ok. But, I have had to enter my latest address twice? Somehow the earlier edit got written over with an old address. Possibly by an old backup?

I didn't know about the password thing though, It wasn't until I checked my e-mail that I figured it out.
