The 200 has an 8'4" beam and I sometimes have trouble with the widest section of the hull and aligning along dock posts.

I have to be carfull some times if the posts are set too far apart, I can't stop the bow from rotating tworads the dock. I picked up a scratch on a crappy dock on Wallenpaupack last year becuse of this, lucky thought, buffed right out.

On Winne were we stay, the docks are old and from what I gather the place is going Condo, so I don't expect new ones. A couple of the posts there are shot too, thus the G5s.

In the 200ssi, it is a little tough to get to, but I was thinking of putting a couple of G6s back there for things like rafting up the odd dock that they may be needed for.

Who me, Paranoid, not really, I just listen to what the voices say ;\)

I'm just getting an order together for Overtons, and a couple black G4's are on the list.

Yep....check. Everything I have now is navy blue, after 3 Navy blue boats you kinda collect some "stuff".

Anybody interested in a couple season old Navy Blue Taylor G-4's?

I bought new ones for the 05' Cobalt when I took delivery and used them 1 season. As a matter of fact I replaced one of them under warranty because of a slow leak, that one was only used 1/2 dozen times.

what size would you guys use for my Horizon 260? I'm thinking the G5 (8.5 inch) but man would those take up space. How many would you carry? how about brand, Taylor Made or Polyform?

I carry both G5 and G4s, bit I am trailering, and never know what I will be tying up to.

The do take up more space than a G4s but in my boat I can keep one of each in the bow seat compartment. Not much room for anything else, and I do have to put the G5s on the bottom and the g4s on top of the G5 in order to make them fit.

he space is dedicated to them, the big advantage is that every one knows where they are and where they go.

I would go with the G5's too Cincy.

I've had two pairs of Taylor Made G-5's. One sprung a leak and I was able to bring it into West Marine and, NO questions asked, they told me to go get one off the shelf and "Have a nice day"! Saved me about $37 for a replacement.

On the other hand I really don't care to spend almost $40 E this time around and I am going with Polyform "G" series from Overtons.

That was my thinking as well. 2 G5's and 2 G4's. I'm still trying to decide on a system for securing them.

I just saw them on boatersland for slightly cheaper.

http://www.boatersland.com/polgfndr.html

$5.00 cheaper for the G5.

Wow, your right Cincy, but the G4 is only $1 cheaper at Boatersland. I have a "list" of stuff to order, so I'm just going to get them from Overtons and save on freight.

Instead of buying two new fenders at $20 E I went over to Taylor Made's site and picked up a couple grey (match my graphics) fender covers for $2.25 E I threw in a couple Portable Dock Cleats for $1 each and even with shipping I only spent $12 I figure if I don't like the way the socks work or look I can use them as spares and buy a couple black fenders later.

Here's the link, go to the "Clearance Sale" box, maybe there's something you need or want.

Some other real good deals there too

Nice boat hook for $7.50 and SS mounts for it for $3.00 - can't go wrong.

I get this sort of humming noise when the ladder is down and we start to plane. But I've never heard it...no, no, never. \:\) \:\) \:\)

Try leaving the trolling motor hanging down from the bow. The splash is refreshing
