PP, I looked at a Pachanga with a 454 before I boought the Memory Maker, I LOVED it but the admiral said it wasn't "practical"-whatever that means! Maybe it was the 4 women she didn't like! ;\)

it's not him,he has 3 daughters just like me.
he bought a 4 bedroom house 2 car garage with a detached barn-garage with lots of land.
where did you move to?
btw he had a great 23 foot rinker before the daughters came along.
practical=lmao!

I moved to he other (south) side of the lake, went from a 1 bedroom cottage in the woods to a 5 bedroom 2 bath lake rights house with a beach and boat slip. Yeah baby! I can't wait til summer.

DD, maybe... what kind of beer do you drink?

Are you coming up for the get together, and subsequently the fireworks on the fourth?

If you trade the busch for some Pocono Lager, I think I can squeeze you in.
I hope you get your boat fixed by then, I mean you've got plenty of time. Are you doing the repairs yourself? or having it done somewhere?

Just remember "Any tool can be the right tool ... If it works" Red Green.

The Pocono Lager is similar to Yeungling Lager, but with a bit cleaner finish. It is brewed in Wilkes Barre.

I've never really had anyone work on my boat, but I bought it at Bakker Marine on route 590 just outside Hawley, they were really easy to deal with and replaced the alternator even though I was a little out of the warranty period. In my experience they have been very good to deal with.
What do you do for a living?
I would offer to assist you with changing the gimbal bearing, but I know I don't have time right now, the new house needs a lot of work!

thanks mm,
i have plenty of tools but there are some specific one's i have to get.
i used to work as a mechanic many moons ago till my kids showed up,then i started working for a spring water company where benefits and a retirement plan lured me away from the wrench swinging.
i will get it done soon,i'm checking out prices online.
enjoy steve

MM...Pocono Lager is really great tasting. The other nice thing is that the brewery is 7 miles from me and they offer tours! For those wanting a non-alcoholic drink, their Root Beer is really good also.

bob_f YUP! I love that stuff. I'll have to try the root beer too, I didn't know about that.

dd, I'm not sure what tools you mean, I've done them in my bosses boat and it just pulls out from the housing. Once you remove the outdrive the gimbal bearing is mounted in rubber, it really wasn't that tough. I have heard of some nightmares where the bearing was frozen to the input shaft, that could get ugly. I think you should expect to pay around 150 bucks or so too get it done profesionally. I'm not sure where Ringwood is but that price was from a place in Croydon PA.

I tried the homebrew now that it has bottle carbonated. Tastes EXACTLY like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but with a cleaner finish. I'll definitely bring some for you beer lovers.

I'm a little worried about being able to launch on July 1st...I'll have to consider options.

Puddle, you can launch at my ramp if you want, just let me know. You can launch, then park your trailer at my house. That way you can camp at ironwood if you want, or just stay the day, whatever.

MM...I may be in the same boat (no pun intended) about trying to launch on Sat. We usually launch at Ledgedale but I have no idea how crazy it be that day. I am calling trying to get a campsite there for friday which will help because then we can come up Fri night after work (or maybe during the day...cough..cough) and launch and not have to wait in what will prob be a LONG line Sat morning.

I don't see a problem with that Bob, if you are staying at ledgedale you could leave your trailer at my place while you're here. Then just run back and forth when it's time to load up and go home.
