Thanks everyone. It was actually my wife's idea. I had found the boat I wanted and she said I "had to" find a matching truck if I wanted to buy it.
So far I have had a great time with both. Although I am not completely new to boating it has been quite some time and this is my first boat over 15ft. or more that 35hp outboard. THe truck on the other hand is the most comfortable that I have ever owned. And I have gone through allot. I look foward to gleaning some expert information from everyone.

Yes it is a 2005 2oo Horizon. It was still on the showroom last September when I stumbled across it Suddenly decided I needed a boat.
I live about 45 miles northest of San Fran. About 30min from Lake Berryessa or the California Delta (Levee) system. So far I have only been to Berryessa. I was going to go to Folsom Lake last weekend but there is still way to much debris. We are planning a trip for July to Lake Shasta for a weekend.
It is hard for me to get away for a whole weekend from about May to Septemeber as I am a Motorsports Photographer and the bulk of the season is then. Luckily we have a much longer season here.

Shasta can be a zoo on the big weekends, but pretty good the rest of the time. A really big lake compared to Berryessa. I hear its easy to get lost there if you're not careful. I spend a fair amount of working time in the east bay area. Some parts around Walnut Creek and beyond are pretty nice. Easy travel for you to many different lakes.
Water levels up here are higher than they have been in 30 years. Lot's of junk in the water. Pretty easy to spot the big ones if you pay attention. Over Memorial, I saw many that looked like elk horns sticking up out of the water that turned out to be whole stumps. All the stuff tends to build up on the downwind side of the lake.
We tend to make day trips all summer. Just too many projects that need to be done when it's not raining. So, we just figure that one good day on the water most weekends is way better than none for weeks at a time.

welcome to the board. I grew up in Norcal, but moved to Reno a few years ago.
We were at Oroville this past weekend and spent the weekend dodging big logs and smaller pieces. I think we only bumped one small piece over the weekend which was amazing given the amount of debris in the water.
Dennyland1 is moving your way in a few months so you'll have another boater there.
Living where you do, there are many options for boating.
Oroville up past Chico is nice and big. Several large fingers that branch off which is where most everyone heads as the main part of the lake gets rough. Great ramps and a bar at the Marina. We launched at Bidwell which is at the South end of the lake.
Bullard's Bar is in the same vicinity. Never been there, but supposed to be fun.
East PArk is 45 miles West of Maxwell up on I-5. Fun lake. Launch from the beach is there are no ramps or docks.
Don Pedro is large and fun. Out towards Sonora in the foothills south of Sac. We have done several houseboat trips out there and always have a blast. Ramps are nice.
New Melones. Haven't been there, buth ave heard some good things.
Don't forget about the Sac Delta. Never been on it and likely never will. Heard lot's of people really enjoy it.
You've got some great optins for day trips.
Oh, and welcome to the board. If you ever find yourself heading to Tahoe with the boat let me know.

Hey Silverbullet, let me know when you are going to be at Don Pedro again. The admiral's parents live in columbia and we're up there all the time. Pedro is not that far from there at all.
